Presentations

Maureen's visits are available for pre-schoolers, primary and middle grade readers as well as young adults. Engaging and funny, Maureen will generally do a reading from one of her books, talk a bit about the writing life and then open it up to questions. For older kids, she is happy to explore specific topics in writing upon request. In Maureen's experience, visits work best if there are not more than about fifty older kids in a group or thirty younger ones. For younger kids, she generally recommends splitting a one-hour visit into two back-to-back half-hour visits with two different groups because an hour can be an awfully long time to sit when you're six! Rates are $250+GST for a 60 minute visit (or two back-to-back 30 minute visits). Government Grants may be available to offset the cost and all expenses are extra for an out-of-town visit.
